Canada Place Trade and Convention Center, Vancouver, is also a cruiseship dock in the cruiseship season from the beginning of May to the end of September. The cruiseships go back and forth between Vancouver and Alaska.

I think this was when the most people thought I was crazy! the manager came up to me to tell me I could not take photos, but I pretended to not understand Chinese and Bobby won him over with his cute smile. We are so harmless!

Xiamen, China - Here incense sticks and 'money' for the dead are being sold. At the temples there are places where people burn the money, one piece at a time, while praying in memory of their departed family members and ancestors.

Xiamen, China - This turtle is at Non Puoto Temple. It is very very old. The notch on its back once held a tall stone tablet carved with teachings. I asked 2 young men passing by to take this photo. They were puzzled by Bobby but happy to help.

Xiamen, China - Amber lives in New England, U.S.A. Her mother is Starrgazer here in Flickr. They wrote and asked me if I would like to be a host in a Flat Stanley project which Amber's class is doing. Each student made a flat paper doll, named it and is sending it through mail to different places in the world. The people who host the dolls take photos of them showing local life. I took Flat Bobby on a walk to a local Chinese temple and through the neighborhood and we had a snack together afterwards.
